Your social media marketing\u00a0sucks! \u00a0Why? \u00a0You don’t have enough to say about your company\u00a0and even when you do have something to say, you don’t know what to do with it. \u00a0I’m here to tell you that you can be a social media marketing heavyweight champion with a little work!\u00a0 You first need to get to the heart of it…<\/p>\n

What’s the first thing you need to think about when talking to your customers?<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u00a0Why do they need my service or product?\u00a0 Make a list of 5 reasons why your customers would need you.<\/li>\n
  2. \u00a0Write a blog about each one.\u00a0 Don’t have a blog? Get one!<\/li>\n
  3. \u00a0When I do get content, what next?\n
      \n
    1. Speak to your customers wherever they are. (blogs, Pinterest<\/a>, Instagram<\/a>, Reddit<\/a>, Youtube<\/a>, Snapchat etc.)<\/li>\n
    2. Take pieces of your content from your blogs to deploy across the different platforms.\u00a0 Ex:\u00a0 “Your social media sucks! Why?”\u00a0 We could take that phrase and drop it into an Instagram image and post it on our Instagram account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \"Social<\/p>\n

      Now you have some ideas and content is beginning to flow, but inspiration can run dry.\u00a0 We see companies start out strong and end up slowing down.\u00a0 The problem is this… you’re taking someone that’s been in your company doing, perhaps, customer service.\u00a0 They weren’t originally hired to do your social media and they do not want to!<\/span>\u00a0 Hire someone that’s sole function and desire in life is to engineer social media<\/span>.\u00a0 They must live it and breath it!\u00a0 Us digital marketers are a different breed.\u00a0 We love this!\u00a0 So, hire someone that loves their work!\u00a0 Think about it this way.\u00a0 Would YOU hire YOU to do your social media marketing?\u00a0 If not, you need to learn or get out of the kitchen!<\/p>\n

      Plan your channels out! (5 P’s of Success!<\/a>)\u00a0 Have a strategy and goals for each platform.\u00a0 If the Chicago Bulls were playing the Cleveland Cavaliers, there are two things that are measured.\u00a0 Time and Score. \u00a0If you are not watching the clock and keeping score, you are wrong! \u00a0Build out your content plan, what you’re going to talk about and the score at the end of your game.\u00a0 If you realize that you cannot meet your goals within the time period you give yourself, you need to then start looking at a few different things, which we’ll talk about in another blog.<\/p>\n

      So, it’s time! Get started and stop sucking at your social media marketing!<\/p>\n
